Wet and Wild

Coleton, with the help of Daddy (of course), asked Gram and Whatsa for his very own pool to chill out in this summer, and they delivered! It's a neat little crab that the hose hooks up to.

Today was our first day testing the waters. Now Coleton loves to get in a regular pool; he kicks his legs like a mad man and has so much fun.

He wasn't too sure about this crab thing though...

With a little bit of splashing from Mommy, he began to relax.

And eventually began to play a little bit with the water.

Here's to (hopefully) many more fun times with Mr. Crab this summer!

Real food

Yep, it's that yummy time...time for solids. Coleton's first taste of homemade (as in steamed and baby bulleted) squash; I think he likes it!

On a side note, Happy 50th Birthday Gram! We love you!!

Where the Wild Things Are

Gram and Whatsa gave me a zoo membership for Christmas and the weather finally cooperated enough for us all to take a visit. From the safety of my stroller, I saw elephants and giraffes...

gorillas....

lions, tigers, and even flamingos...

Mommy's favorite was the baby koala snuggling with his mommy... (click on the picture to make it larger)

Then we headed inside to the aquarium, where Whatsa and Gram took the time to show me each and every exhibit and even fed me a bottle...

What a great time we had! And we finally got our first picture as a family of 3!!

Sweetness

Clif and I had a lunch date today, so Gram and Whatsa kept Coleton company. This time though Will was there to assist :)

Date Night

I decided that it was time for Mommy and Daddy to have some alone time and go on a date night. While I love every second I can spend with Coleton and want to soak up as many moments with him as I can, I also realize the importance of Clif and I keeping our relationship strong. Plus I love every second I can spend with my sweet hubby. So off to Tsunami we went. We had a great time eating lots of sushi, which I had been craving for about 6 months, and even drank a couple of tasty Blue Moons. While we did find plenty of other things to talk about, I'll be honest and let on that we couldn't help but talk about our cute boy a little bit. However, Clif was the one who broke down first and texted to see how Coleton was doing without us... and he was just fine! BIG thanks to Gram and Granddaddy for taking care of our little man while we were out! Here are some cute pics we found on our camera when we got home...
